ZC-411A series clamp type grounding resistance meter is a major breakthrough in traditional grounding resistance measurement technology. It is widely used in the grounding resistance measurement of electric power, telecommunication, meteorology, oil field, construction and industrial electrical equipment.

ZC-411A series clamp type grounding resistance meter is safe, fast and easy to use without disconnecting the grounding down lead and auxiliary electrode when measuring the grounding system with loop.

ZC-411A series clamp type grounding resistance meter can measure the ground fault which cannot be measured by traditional method, and can be applied to the occasions that cannot be measured by traditional method, because ZC-411A series clamp grounding resistance meter measures the comprehensive value of grounding body resistance and grounding lead resistance.

Before starting the machine, press the trigger once or twice to ensure that the jaw is closed well.

Press the POWER key to enter the startup state. First, the LCD will be tested automatically, and all the symbols will be displayed, as shown in Figure 1. At the same time, the instrument will automatically calibrate. After the start-up, it will display "OLΩ", and automatically enter the resistance measurement mode, as shown in Figure 2. If the instrument is not normally started and self calibrated, the instrument will display "Er" symbol, indicating that the machine is turned on in error, as shown in Figure 3.

In the process of self test, do not press the trigger, open the jaw and clamp any wires.

If there is an error, check the cause and restart.

In the process of self test, it is necessary to keep the clamp meter in a natural and static state. It is not allowed to turn the clamp meter or exert external force on the jaw; otherwise the accuracy of measurement cannot be guaranteed.

I In the process of self test, if the clamp around the conductor circuit, the measurement result is inaccurate, please remove the conductor circuit and restart.

If "OLΩ" does not appear after power on, but displays a large resistance value, as showed in figure 4,

However, it can still give correct results when testing with a test ring. This shows that the clamp meter only has large error when measuring large resistance value (such as greater than 100 Ω), while it still keeps the original accuracy when measuring small resistance value, so users can still rest assured of using it.

When the self test is completed, "OLΩ" is displayed and the symbol is flashing, as showed in figure 5, that means the no-load resistance "OL" has exceeded the threshold value of resistance alarm.

2. Shut down

After the clamp meter is turned on, press the POWER key to turn it off.

After the clamp meter is turned on for 5 minutes, the LCD will enter the flashing state. After the flashing state lasts for 30 seconds, it will automatically shut down to reduce the battery consumption. Press POWER key in flashing state to delay shutdown and clamp meter to continue working.

In the HOLD state, press the HOLD key or POWER key to exit the HOLD state, and then press the power key to shut down.

In the alarm threshold setting state, press the POWER key or A / Ω key for 3 seconds to exit the alarm threshold setting state, and then press the POWER key to shut down.

3. Resistance measurement

After the power on self test is completed, "OLΩ" is displayed to measure the resistance. At this time, press the trigger, open the jaw, clamp the circuit to be tested, and read the resistance value.

If the user thinks it is necessary, you can check it with a random test ring as shown in the figure on the right. The displayed value should be consistent with the nominal value on the test ring (5.1 Ω). (If the user is not sure whether the instrument works normally, this method can also be used as a reference for judgment.)

The nominal value at 20  is the temperature of the ring. The difference between the displayed value and the nominal value is one word, which is normal. For example, when the nominal value of the test ring is 5.1Ω, the display of 5.0 Ω or 5.2 Ω is normal. The display of "OLΩ" indicates that the measured resistance exceeds the upper limit of clamp meter, as shown in Fig.3. The display of "L0.01 Ω" indicates that the measured resistance exceeds the lower limit of clamp meter, as shown in Fig 6.

In the HOLD state, it is necessary to press the HOLD key or POWER key to exit the HOLD state before the measurement can continue.

In the alarm threshold setting state, it is necessary to press the POWER key or long press the A / Ω key for 3 seconds to exit the alarm threshold setting state, and then continue to measure.

In check mode, press mode key to switch to resistance measurement mode.

*For type C, press the A / Ω key to switch to the resistance measurement mode in the check mode or current measurement mode.

4. Current measurement

After the power on self-test is completed, the clamp meter will automatically enter the resistance measurement mode. After "OLΩ" is displayed, press the A / Ω key to enter the current measurement mode and display "0.00mA", as shown in Figure 7. At this time, press the trigger, open the jaw, clamp the wire to be measured, and read the current value.

The clamp meter displays "OLA", indicating that the measured current exceeds the upper limit of the clamp meter, as shown in Figure 8.

The flashing symbol indicates that the measured current exceeds the current alarm threshold.

In check mode or resistance measurement mode, press A/ Ω key to switch to current measurement mode.

In the HOLD state, press the HOLD key or POWER key to exit the HOLD state before returning to the current measurement mode.

In the alarm threshold setting state, it is necessary to press the power key or long press the hold key for 3 seconds to exit the alarm threshold setting state before returning to the current measurement mode.
